About us

We can't wait to meet Musical You! Every class we will go on a journey around the world, with music as our magical passport! Using our imaginations we will travel far and wide, learning about other cultures through their music. At each stop, the children will meet new instruments, sing new tunes, dance to the beats, and even create some art inspired by our travels. When we arrive back home from our imaginative journey, we will focus on celebrating the individual melodies of each unique child with story-time, and original music. Through the wonderful language of music, we seek to build community, expand horizons, and encourage imaginative play together.

Schedule

9am The class will begin with a welcome circle, where we all get to say good morning in our own individual way. Lead teacher and songwriter, Eliza, has written music to wake our minds and bodies up and begin expressing ourselves as soon as we enter class.

9:15am We will meet an instrument and begin our journey to another land!

9:30am Along the way we will listen to music from that culture, dance and get our bodies moving, and sing along!

10:30am a creative art project to connect us further to wherever we have voyaged that morning.

11:00am The children will have a chance for some music-inspired free-play with their classmates mid-class

11:30am A a wind-down with a storybook, snack and gentle musical rest.

11:45am Nearing the end of our class, we will return home from our imaginary journey and focus on each child's individual rhythm and soundscape to say goodbye and see you next time!
