Hi, I'm Angel!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Aside from my parents, teachers have also left a lasting impact in my life, not just the ones from school either. While I was a student I always enjoyed helping out fellow classmates which prompted me to start private tutoring later on and eventually led me to lead a classroom. I am passionate about technology and sharing knowledge. I started pursuing my interest for technology while I was young and the positive encouragement I received benefited me later in life. I like to pass this on in my own classes to ensure that students who are also passionate about such topics, can feel confident that they too can have an impact despite their age. I also vividly remember discouraging experiences where I was not taken seriously despite having adequate knowledge and skills simply because I was not considered an "adult". I strive to prepare my students for overcoming such obstacles should they ever encounter it to ensure that it won't hinder their potential as today they are students, tomorrow they will be leaders and perhaps even fellow teachers as well.
What is your philosophy on and approach to behavioral management?
Try to understand what is causing the behavioral problem and address it accordingly. i.e. student is bored, something is troubling them, general personality, i.e. chatty student.
Who was your favorite teacher and why?
I've had many good teachers throughout my life but one in particular which probably helped motivate me to do take certain decisions later in my life was a computer applications teacher I had named Mr. Thievon. He helped me get my first job and encouraged me to take my skills seriously despite my young age.
