Hi, I'm Ms Jodi!

I speak English.

I speak English.

Tell us a little bit about yourself. I have been an educator for a long time and have a vast amount of diversified experience within the field of education.  I truly cherish all of my Early Childhood experiences and I am a firm believer in a strong, solid foundation for all young learners.   I am definitely interested in forming my own Early Learn playgroups.   Here, I will employ my reading skills and strategies along with incorporating my passion for the Dramatic Arts and most effectively use my dramatic skills while incorporating authentic literature to best teach Reading, Math, Science, and Expressive Arts through dramatic experiences and hands-on learning activities.

What is your philosophy and approach to behavioral management? I believe that age appropriate goals need to be set from the beginning and meaningful praises and awards should be given verbally during class and physically after each session has been completed.

Who was your favorite teacher and why? My favorite teacher was my Second Grade teacher because she believed in me and always let me know it in a variety of ways.  She had  high expectations of me and for me and wouldn't let me get away with anything less than what I was capable of doing.

Do you have experience working with children with special needs? I have worked with Special needs throughout my career but most recently in the past five years, I had several Autisitic Students when I taught UPK.  I was able to work well with them and their families.

Credentials. I am a Permanent New York State Certified Teacher for Pre K, Kindergarten, and Grades 1-6.  I am grandfathered into being Permanently Certified for teaching Birth - 2 as well.
